The HTML chapter explains how goals become tasks and dependencies, how execution tests a plan, and when the remaining work needs revision. ReWOO organizes planned tool execution; search and Tree of Thoughts explore possible solution paths. Short worked examples support these concepts. The research agent system connects them to checking whether actual outputs fulfill the plan.
The lab follows Ng GL-M5 research agents: a planner proposes tasks, an executor routes them to research/writing/editing roles, and previous outputs accompany each handoff. Students inspect a cited report and its intermediate artifacts.
The 80-minute lab runs individual operations or roles first, checks their actual outputs, and then assembles the workflow. An independent 15–17 minute task follows, with editable examples and explicit outcome checks.
